Cats must have had a first injection followed by a second injection three /four weeks later (plus 2 weeks to build up immunity) prior to staying with us. This is for first vaccinations only. Cats which are already fully vaccinated can have their annual booster at any time prior to their stay as long as it is within the last 12 months. We regret that cats over the age of 6 months, which have not been neutered/spayed, cannot be accepted for boarding.

Whilst cats boarding at Bournemouth Boarding Cattery Ltd receive every care and attention, they are boarded entirely at the risk of the owner. Should any cat fall ill whilst being boarded we will contact the owner/emergency contact, and contact the owner’s vet where possible, or our vets and act upon the vet’s advice, the expenses incurred will be met by the owner. However, we do have veterinary insurance to cover all cats for anything where the causeis attributed entirely to the cattery, this does not cover any on-going treatment or prior illnesses.

To safeguard the health of all our guests we reserve the right to refuse admission to any cat showing signs of ill health on arrival pending advice from a veterinary surgeon. For cats found to be, or suspected of being at risk to other boarders by a vet during their stay, the cat will reside in the care of the owner’s vets where possible, or our vets, until the vet deems there is no risk to other boarders or the owner collects, this will be at the owner’s expense.

All health issues and medications must be disclosed prior to boarding, and we reserve the right to cancel the booking if any information has not been disclosed.

Cats must be wormed and flea treated prior to arrival. If cats are not normally treated regularly, they must be treated at least 7 days prior to arrival with a prescription treatment from the vets. By signing below the owner gives consent to Bournemouth Boarding Cattery to treat their cat with a Johnson’s flea tablet (kills adult fleas) if a flea infestation is found during their stay, the owner also understands they will be charged £30 to cover the cost of the treatment and the additional cleaning involved during/after the cat’s stay. If a cat is found to have fleas on 2 separate occasions, no future bookings will be taken.

A full day’s board is charged for the day of arrival and departure. Payment is due just prior to/on arrival, and is by cash, Bank Transfer or cheque only, we do not have card payment facilities. A booking fee of £40 will be required from new customers before a booking is confirmed, this booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any changes (reduction) to a booking must be requested at least 28 days prior to the start of a booking, otherwise the original booked period is payable. Any booking which is canceled within 7 days of the booking, we respectfully ask that the full amount is paid. In the event of cats being collected before the end of the booking, no refunds will be given.

We reserve the right to change the daily boarding charges, for advanced bookings this may mean the total payment due for a booking may change from the price quoted at the time of booking. The daily boarding charges will be updated on the website with at least 28 days notice, no further changes to the daily charges will be made once the invoice has been emailed or posted to a client 2-3 weeks prior to the start of each booking.

Owners must use a secure cat carrier to bring their cat/s to the cattery. Outside of the security of the cattery corridor (this does not include Reception) the safety of the cat/s is the owner’s responsibility. Owners must not open carriers in Reception, Reception is not secure and no liability will be accepted for lost cats if owners fail to adhere to this.

Arrival and collection outside normal opening hours (see below) is not permitted.

Only cats from the same family / household can share a suite and this is at the owner’s risk. If aggressive behaviour is witnessed, we reserve the right to separate the cats for their safety and the extra suite charge will be incurred by the owner.

We request that cat collars are removed, prior to arrival. Any cat wearing a collar will have it removed for the duration of their stay for safety reasons.

Owners are welcome to bring their own belongings e.g. cat beds, blankets, toys etc. but these are left at the cattery at the owner’s risk.

We reserve the right to take photographs of any cats boarding and copyright for public relations purposes, all such materials reside exclusively with Bournemouth Boarding Cattery Ltd in perpetuity.
